The Parkway Deli
I've been to many good restaurants, but if you wanted to know about a restaurant that is casual but serves good food, I would suggest the Parkway Deli. This deli serves all types of sandwiches, and other great meals. The have lots of kosher food, for people who are Jewish, and really good appetizers. If you go there, I suggest getting their macaroni and cheese, or their chicken and cheese panini. Also they have a delicious pickle bar, which is one of my favorite parts of the restaurant. For an appetizer, you should try their sweet potatoes, or their mashed potatoes. If you like leafy green veggies, or is just an adventurous eater, you should definitely try their spinach. I love it. For dessert, they have lots of different kinds of cookies, and you should probably get one of those. I hope you have a chance to go to this fantastic deli.

The Lightning Theif
As soon you start to read this book, the first thing you notice is the chapter titles. They're really funny! One is called "I battle my jerk relative", and another from the next book is called "The party ponies invade". This book is about a boy named Percy who found out he's a half blood (someone who has one ancient greek god parent, and another normal parent). Percy has to go to camp Half-Blood. There, he finds out that Zeus's master lightning bolt was just stolen, and he thinks Percy did it. In a quest with his two friends, Grover and Annabeth, he goes to find the lightning bolt and the person who stole it.

Blister
As soon as I started to read this book for my book club, I was really interested. This story is about a girl named Alyssa, who just found out her baby sister was born dead. Her mother becomes depressed, and they move to a new apartment. Soon her father moves away, and Alyssa starts calling herself Blister. She starts a new school, and no one can ignore her. This book would be good for you if you can stand sad things, because this book is really sad. But I know that almost every girl would love it!

Great Poems for all Ages
I'm sure you've all heard of Shel Silverstein. If you haven't, here's some information. He's a poet. He writes REALLY funny poems for kids of all ages! He wrote this really good book of poems, called Runny Babbit. In these poems, Silverstein mixes up the first letters of two words that go together. For example, the main character's named Runny Babbit (Bunny Rabbit). Also, raw carrot would be caw rarrot. Chicken pox would be picken chox, and so on. It's a really great book for kids who like to make up funny jokes. It's also good for reading aloud to toddlers, and younger kids learning how to read. It's fun to mix up words. Trust me, this is a great book for everyone, no matter how old you are!

Sisters Grimm: A Fairytale Adventure
The Sisters Grimm is a great book to read if you like very adventurous, fiction books where kids take action. It's good for boys and girls, even though it's mostly about two girls. The girls parents disappear, and they have to live with their grandmother, who they thought was dead! It's a very exciting book. Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down! You guys HAVE to read it, it's so good!
Jacqueline Wilson
Jacqueline Wilson is a REALLY good author. She writes books for girls. She's a British author, so not a lot of her books are published in America. Some of my favorites are Best Friends, Double act, Candyfloss, Bad girls and The Worry Website. If you like books that are really dramatic, and not to adventurous, you should consider reading some of her books. Best Friends and Double Act haven't been published here yet. I can't wait until they are!
